This tour follows the path of the great migration of black people from the south to the north, and to Chicago. We go down the streets that my ancestors would’ve taken to get to the black neighborhoods of Chicago. We visit Bronzeville, where in the early and mid-1900s it was the largest, most populated black area in America. We follow the migration route to other areas and explain it. Chicago is the home of modern day gospel music. We will take you to Pilgrim Baptist Church, where modern day Gospel music was born.
